An epic tragedy of human proportions
Three sleeping giants dream the island of Oestant and those living on it. They also dream the heroes of this story, Bran and Ianto, sons of King Arthus.
Visiting a neighbor kingdom, the two brothers fall in love with the princess Sile, while a war between the two kingdoms begins.
While the battles are raging and the brotherly love is fading, strange rumors are heard. The immortals, guardians of the giants, seems to have left their hidden lands and, far away, in the confines of the island, a dreaded “darkmist” would have apparead, dark and terrible fog eating the lands themselves.
Everything, of course, is linked. Driven by war, hate and love, will Bran, Ianto and Sile understand this in time?

Ianto and Bran, princes of the kingdom of Lonan, go to meet Lothar, King of Riveste. Indeed, Ianto fears a conspiracy seeking to provoke a new war on the island of Oestand. And the war is quick to come. The two brothers have to face on the battlefield Lothar and his daughter Sile, with who they both fell in love. Lonan wins the battle, but loses its king. Victorious, Ianto, heir of the crown, requires that Sile (heiress of Riveste) becomes his wife, for the despair of Bran.
Back to Lonan, Ianto closes more and more on himself, and his deep jealousy of Bran, his younger brother, keeps growing. The festivities for the wedding and the crowning are beign prepared, while elsewhere, in the confines of the island, a strange darkmist appears and seems to swallow the lands. This darkmist begins to worry each and every kingdom. Ravelin, King of Clervie, asks for a conclave of kings, and propose to send a common delegation to seek the immortals. But before anything is decided, King Lothar is murdered! The tension rises between the kingdoms of Lonan and Riveste, and a new war is hard to prevent.
More and more irritable and unrecognizable, Ianto declares himself High-King, since he handles two kingdoms and tells he got the crown of Oestant from the Immortals themselves. The other kings of Oestant fear some scheme from Ianto, notably Ravelin, who meets secretly Bran, and learns to him that Ianto schemed to provoke the war against Riveste. It seems likely Ianto would have lied on many other things, and that every event shaking Oestant is his fault!
Ianto declares war to Ravelin, since he refused to acknowledge his authority. And when the army of Lonan begins its siege of Praid, city of Ravelin, Brand Sile and the soldiers they succeded in rallying join the army of Ravelin. Diminished, Ianto has to fall back.
The months in Praid see the love between Sile and Bran grow ever stronger. She gives birth to their just before spring and the beginning of the new war. Indeed, Ravelin has decided to go and attack Ianto! He gathers his men and, with Ianto and Sile, leaves for Lonan, leaving the newborn child under the security of the walls of Praid.
The siege of Mayeul begins and, quickly, Ravelin, Bran and Sile must face treason in their allies. They have to fall back on a hill in front of the fortress of Ianto, when Ianto gives them an impossible choice: they must surrender to avoid death… but also the death of the son of Bran and Sile, which he abducted! Bran and Sile, in deep despair, choose not to comply. The war begins anew, the fights always more terrible. Caem, liege of Bran, dies while he tries to free the child, and is soon joined in death by Sile. Stricken by despair, while the last battle begins, Bran charges with one and only one idea: to kill his brother, cause of all his misfortune… but it will be him who will die from the hand of his brother’s liege, Ianto can’t bring himself to kill his brother.
The death of Bran is the end of the story. On the hill of the immortal, this one tells he has guided and manipulated Ianto, his jealousy, his lust for power, all along this tragedy, and all of this in order to tell the most terrible of any stories; thanks to this, he hopes to awaken one of the giants who is falling in a deeper slumber, provoking the arrival of the darkmist. In the inn, the man – it is Ianto – leaves for another place, in a terrible quest: he has to tell his story everywhere in Oestant so that the memory of his brother doesn’t die and, maybe free himself of his guilt.
